Criw Cymraeg
Our passionate Criw Cymraeg play an integral role in fostering the staff's and the children's love of language learning. They plan and organise events throughout the year, presenting the best of Welsh culture and language within special celebrations such as the URDD Jambori, the annual Eistedfodd, Caffi Cymraeg, Diwrod Shwmae, Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant and Welsh Week, to name but a few.
They are also responsible for raising the use of our Welsh language, inside and outside our classrooms. They use music to raise the friends' enjoyment and well-being on the yard, organising Welsh singing, games and dancing, anything from Welsh rap to 'Yma o Hyd!' They 'catch' the children and staff using the language outdoors and record it weekly, rewarding them during Friday's Praise Assembly.
